Alejandro received his BS degree in Biomedical Engineering from Tecnológico de Monterrey, Mexico. During his undergrad program, he completed the International Thematic Cluster in Engineering at Polytechnique Montréal. Subsequently, he collaborated in a research stay at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School focused on mRNA delivery, macrophage polarization, drug delivery, and immunotherapy for cancer treatment. Alejandro joined the Barouch Lab as part of the TB group in 2023, where he would center his efforts on the development of an effective global TB vaccine. In his spare time, he enjoys outdoor cycling and swimming, exploring new restaurants around Boston, and photography.
