Bioinformatician
Barouch Laboratory

Alex received his BSc in Physiology and Physics from McGill University in 2018, with his undergraduate research project focusing on the novel use of aptamer technology in the treatment of papillary thyroid cancer. He then obtained his M.Sc. in Bioinformatics from the University of Montreal in 2021, during which he interned remotely (thanks, COVID) with the the bioinformatics team of the Barouch Lab. He joined the Barouch Lab as a bioinformatician in 2022. When he’s not poring over RNA-seq data, Alex enjoys moseying through Boston to discover what the city has to offer. You can also find him steadily getting through his backlog of books, and binging TV shows from a myriad of streaming services he keeps forgetting to cancel.
