Bismark Acquah

Bismark graduated from Illinois State University, with his MS. Biotechnology (Summer 2023). While at Illinois State, he worked in the lab of Dr. Alysia Vrailas-Mortimer, studying Mutations in Lamin and how they cause multiple tissue-specific disorders like Neurodegeneration, Muscular dystrophies, and many more. He joined the Immunology Group as a Research Assistant II in the Barouch Lab in July 2023. Outside the lab, he loves to visit museums and art galleries, hiking, traveling and listening to Afrobeat music (Asake).
