Daniel SellersResearch Assistant/Associate
Daniel graduated from Tufts University in 2020 with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering. During his time in undergrad, Daniel worked in a pair of bioengineering labs, most recently helping to develop a novel platform for enhancing the growth of yeast on non-native substrates. Before that, he studied microbial interactions and metabolic “decision-making” in E. coli when faced with various combinations of sugars. Daniel joined the Immunology and TB groups in the Barouch Lab in July of 2020, where he assists in preclinical development of vaccine candidates against SARS-CoV-2, HIV, and Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Daniel plans to pursue a PhD in microbiology or bioengineering.
