Tochi AniokeResearch Assistant/Associate
Tochi graduated from Gordon College with a B.S. in Biology in August 2020. After her sophomore year, she joined the Cornwell-Spencer lab where she worked on elucidating signaling pathways involved in eosinophil-related allergic diseases like asthma and eosinophilic gastroenteritis. Her senior thesis focused on understanding the role of MHC Class II on eosinophils in the pathogenesis of asthma. Through this work and subsequent internship experiences, Tochi developed an interest in the versatility of the immune system. In November 2020, she joined the Barouch lab where she works in the Protein Group on HIV envelope and SARS-CoV-2 studies. Outside the lab, she enjoys listening to music, cooking, reading and is an avid soccer and basketball fan.
