Tsion was born in Awassa and grew up in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. She came to the U.S. in 2015 to attend Mount Holyoke College, where she earned a BA in Biological Sciences and a certificate in African History. She also completed her pre-med track while in college. As an honorary New Englander, she was thrilled to embark on a journey in Boston doing clinical research. She is passionate about clinical trials for prevention/treatment of diseases, as well as reducing health disparities among underserved populations globally. She is also a mental health advocate and aspires to become a physician providing patient-centered care by practicing holistic and integrative medicine. She is extremely proud to be working at the CVVR with Dr. Dan Barouch and the innovative team. Tsion’s hobbies include doing hiit workouts, traveling, reading, gardening, and everything food.
