Arunaa Nagarajan Ganesan

Research Assistant/Associate
Barouch Laboratory

Arunaa completed her Master’s in Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University in December 2024, with a strong background in microbiology and immuno-oncology. Arunaa’s research journey has taken her from extracting extracellular vesicles in Streptococcus pneumoniae to working on pediatric glioblastoma using T cell therapy. These experiences sparked Arunaa’s growing interest in infectious diseases and vaccine development, leading Arunaa to join the Barouch Lab in February 2025. Apart from working in the lab, Arunaa loves picking up new languages both human and programming. Recently, Arunaa has started learning how to code, and now she is tackling R as well as learning Spanish (though so far, R is less forgiving than Spanish when she makes mistakes).
