Dr.Li joined the Engelman lab as a postdoctoral fellow in August of 2016. She received her MD degree with focus on Pathogenic Organisms from Fudan University in China. Her research is focused on whether the integrase proteins of several non-HIV retroviruses including lentiviruses of horse and sheep, as well two different types of mouse cancer viruses, bind their cognitive RNA genomes, and the molecular mechanisms of allosteric integrase inhibitors (ALLINIs) in HIV-1 inhibition. Outside of the Engelman Lab, she enjoys spending time with her husband.
